Practice questions are useful when they show you what to learn next. A familiar answer can feel easy to recognize without showing whether you understand the concept.
For state-exam preparation, organize your review log using the Course I: sales associate syllabus and exam study guide or Course II: broker syllabus and exam study guide. Each includes the official FREC syllabus, DBPR Candidate Information Booklet, and exam weights so you can identify the objective behind a missed practice question.
Review a missed question
- Read the question again and identify exactly what it asks.
- Explain why you chose your answer.
- Read the provided explanation and identify the concept you missed.
- Find that concept in your current materials or a relevant instructor lesson.
- Write a short explanation in your own words.
- Try another question that tests the same concept.
Keep a simple review log
For each recurring mistake, record four things:
- Topic: What concept was tested?
- Cause: Was the difficulty the concept, wording, calculation, or attention?
- Review: Which lesson or explanation will you use?
- Fresh-question result: What improved, and what still needs help?
If your version of the simulator includes results by unit, use them to locate weaker areas. An overall score alone may hide a topic you still need to review.
Your next step: Choose one recurring error and complete a review cycle before starting another full practice test.
