Definition: An undivided interest is an ownership share in the entire property rather than exclusive ownership of one physically separated portion.
Example
A person with a 25% tenancy-in-common interest owns a share of the whole parcel, not automatically its northwest quarter.
Keep the distinction clear
A fractional ownership percentage describes the legal share. A separate use agreement or lawful partition may affect occupancy or division, but the percentage alone does not divide the land.
