To qualify for a Florida real estate sales associate license, you must complete a Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC)-approved 63-hour Sales Associate Pre-Licensing course. This is the required education course for applicants getting a Florida real estate license for the first time.
Who needs the 63-hour course?
Take this course if you do not currently hold a Florida real estate sales associate license and are preparing to apply for one.
If you are already licensed and are renewing, upgrading to broker, or reactivating a license, a different education requirement may apply.
Complete the course and end-of-course exam
You must complete the required course content and pass the course's end-of-course exam with a score of at least 70%.
After you pass, TSRE will issue your course completion certificate. Keep a copy for your records and for the state-exam process.
Your certificate is valid for two years
The 63-hour pre-licensing completion certificate is valid for two years from the date you pass the end-of-course exam.
You must pass the Florida real estate sales associate state exam before the certificate expires. If the two-year period expires before you pass the state exam, you will need to complete the 63-hour pre-licensing course again.
