If a learning need or disability may affect how you access materials, participate in class, or complete course activities, contact TSRE's administration office before enrolling when possible. If you are already enrolled, contact us as soon as the need becomes clear.
Start a support request
Submit a request, email info@tsre.us, or call or text (813) 333-2676. Explain the part of the course that is difficult to access and the help you would like to discuss.
Include your name, registration email, course and format, class dates or access deadline, and a preferred way to contact you. For example, you might need help accessing a document, following spoken instruction, or choosing a format that gives you more time to read.
You do not need to put a detailed medical history in the initial message. If supporting documents are needed, ask TSRE how to provide them securely.
Discuss the options for your course
TSRE offers different course formats, including scheduled instruction and self-paced learning. Administration can discuss your needs, available learning tools, and which arrangements fit your course. Explain any approaching start date or completion deadline so it can be considered in the review.
If the discussion involves a format change, follow the course-transfer process and wait for confirmation before switching. Ask for the agreed next steps in writing so you and your instructor understand the arrangement.
Tools you can review now
- Closed captions explains caption options for supported devices.
- Course translation guidance explains browser translation.
- Course formats compares classroom, LIVE Online, Video On Demand, and text-based options.
These tools may help with access, but tell TSRE if they do not address your need. An individual support request may require a different arrangement.
If a difficulty is affecting a class now
Tell the instructor and contact TSRE promptly. Include the session date, the activity or material affected, and what help you need to continue. Keep a note of missed instruction so the office can review the next steps with you.
For the school's current approach to learning needs, see Special Accommodations in TSRE's policies.
State-exam accommodations require a separate request
For the Florida licensing exam, use Rule 61-11.008 and DBPR’s Special Testing Accommodations process. Apply early and confirm the approved arrangements before testing. Submit the required supporting documents directly through DBPR’s process. A TSRE course accommodation does not automatically approve a state-exam accommodation. See State Exam for the candidate booklets and examination steps.
