Your affiliate link, a student’s discount, and your commission are related, but they answer different questions.
| Item | What it does | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Affiliate link | Directs someone to TSRE with your referral identifier | Use the complete link assigned or generated by your portal |
| Promo code | Applies an eligible offer at checkout and may identify the referring affiliate | Check the assigned code, qualifying products, and offer conditions |
| Referral credit | Associates a qualifying purchase with an affiliate | Review the recorded order and applicable attribution rules |
| Commission | The affiliate’s earnings on an eligible referral | Check the account, product, and program terms |
| Payout or redemption | Settles eligible earnings through the applicable payment method | Review Payments and the account’s payment terms |
A link is not automatically a discount
The ref part of a link identifies the affiliate. A discount depends on a valid offer and how it is applied. If your portal offers Copy Shareable Link beside a coupon, use that complete generated link when sharing that offer. Ask the customer to check the actual discount and final total before paying.
Do not substitute your referral tag for a promo code or assume that all affiliates have the same offer. Do not advertise a personal-use benefit as a student referral discount.
A sale amount is not your commission
The order value and your earnings appear as different figures. An eligible commission can depend on account terms, product rules, discounts, and adjustments. Using both a link and a code does not mean two commissions are earned on the same purchase.
Refunds, cancellations, and order adjustments can affect referral credit or earnings. Contact TSRE if an amount appears inconsistent with your terms. Avoid promising credit based only on a click or a customer saying they intended to use your link.
Why credit may need review
Check the account, original link or code, date range, and order reference first. Switching devices, browser restrictions, another referral, or a different purchase channel can make attribution more complicated. TSRE must review the applicable records before determining a correction.
An affiliate link to the store does not establish that every later SRM balance payment, subscription renewal, telephone transaction, or other purchase channel earns commission. Ask TSRE when the transaction falls outside the order path described in your account terms.
Report missing or incorrect credit
Submit one support request with your account email, original link or code, sharing date if known, order reference and purchase date if available, expected credit, and what you see in the portal. Include only relevant supporting material and hide unrelated personal details.
Do not ask the customer to purchase again, cancel a valid order, or disclose card details to repair attribution. A review request does not guarantee a commission or a particular payout date.
